Santa Monica College Media Technology Campus expansion project includes a 430 vehicle parking garage, cafe, central courtyard as well as new homes for the Communication and Design Technology departments, and KCRW radio station.
The water feature is part of the southern edge of the courtyard area and is a simple chevron shaped continuous cascade element. The upper area behind the water feature to serve as an event stage. The cascade is designed to create ambient noise to cancel out noise from the area surrounding the campus.
